Gone Rural boMake

Gone Rural boMake is a non-profit organisation in the Kingdom of Swaziland, founded by Gone Rural (Pty) to assist rural women and their communities with education, health and social needs.

While Gone Rural provides a regular source of income generation to the women, Gone Rural boMake complements this work by implementing social programmes.

Gone Rural boMake’s activities are carried out with the 770 artisans from Gone Rural’s 13 production groups. With each artisan having, on average, 6 dependents, positively impacting the lives of over 10,000 people. A needs assessment conducted in 2006, led Gone Rural boMake to focus on four key areas: Health, Education, Women Empowerment & Community Development.

With each artisan having an average of 6 dependants, the income generation provided through GR directly impacts the lives of nearly 5000 womne, men, children and elderly in rural homesteads across 3 regions in Swaziland.

Since it started boMake has seen over 1000 children supported on school fees bursaries, provided access to clean drinking water to over xxx people and seen women gain knowledge in entrepreneurship, leadership and health… to find out more or to donate click here.
